A series of large black and white prints, of older passenger ships approaching the end of their working lives. Photographed in the US, Mexico, Bahamas, Philippines, China and India.

Stranded is a durational maritime photography project where I sort out and photographed the remains of the world’s passenger fleet. These vessels were built for moving people around the world, before planes took over that role, before a the time before purpose built cruise ships. These ships are all left over from a previous age, or in lay up, distress or being dismantled. Shot on film, itself a fading medium, between 1999 and 2006.
