I stumbled upon the strange and alluring Salton Sea years ago. The vision of water in the desert intrigued me as did the story of how the lake has come and one through the millennia, and how this latest version was created by a 1905 manmade accident. I studied its history as it grew into a multi year project. My prints have exhibited in Los Angeles, Palm Desert, San Francisco and London, starting in 2000 with a show in London’s Groucho Club to the latest 2018 exhibition at UCR. Drawn back to the mystery and oddness of the below sea level receding lake, much has changed during the decades of revisiting.
